An audit management platform built from the ground up

Context

Auditing firms were working in an increasingly commodified market, where the differentiator is the advice and most of the day goes on chasing tasks and evidence instead. Audora was built to take that back: one platform across the whole audit lifecycle, from engagement setup and evidence collection through framework mapping to one-click reporting.

The problem

The same audit data has to serve firm owners, engagement managers, senior and staff auditors and partners, and each of them wants something different from it. On top of that the audit itself runs in four phases, Readiness, Plan, Assess and Report, so the product had to make the transitions between them legible and hand work over without dropping the context it was carrying.

My role

This was not a redesign and not a feature, it was a product that did not exist yet, and I was on it from the first concept through to the last state. That meant early concept work, defining the workflow, designing the components, and then the detailed execution of every screen and every state across the platform.

Business impact

A firm that runs its audits in one place stops paying the coordination tax: no chasing evidence by email, no reconstructing where an engagement stands, no rebuilding a report by hand at the end. In a market where firms compete on judgement rather than process, the hours that it gives back are the ones clients are actually paying for.
